Yesterday was the first day of Lent. Normally I would give up chocolate and I'm not exaggerating when I say it's the longest 40 days of my life. It's definitely a challenge, but I've done it 3 years in a row so this year I've decided to try something new. It's not because I no longer have the will power to go 40 days without chocolate. Not at all! Honestly! Truly! Please believe me! :) This year rather than give something up, I've chosen to do something.  I've given it alot of thought and I really wanted to do something positive. Sometimes making a change can be just as challenging as giving something up. So for the next 39 days my goal is to do or say something nice to atleast one person every day. If only we were all nicer to eachother this world would be a better place.

Another trend I'm currently loving is coloured denim. Whether it's super bright neons or super soft pastels, it's super fun! This is more of a winter colour but Spring will be here soon and I can't wait to add some fun colour to my wardrobe.

One of the trends I'm currently loving is printed denim. I must admit, it wasn't love at first site. I wasn't even sure if I would actually be able to follow this trend, but sometimes all it takes is giving something a try. I found these animal print jeans at Winners, and I could tell by the look on mum's face, she wasn't as thrilled as I was. I think she's gotten used to them since then. I'm really excited about the floral print which will be perfect for Spring.

So I've gotten a few complaints lately for my lack of outfit posts. I've been really really busy...honest and truly...ok I've been busy shopping, and looking at clothes online, and reading all of my favourite blogs...oh and eating chocolate. Do those sound like good excuses?? Didn't think so... I promise I will try harder to update my blog more often.

This past weekend mum and I stopped in at Payless Shoes on the hunt for anything new, in which I was very unsuccessful. It only left me itching to spend some money, so we stopped in at Chatters Salon and I spent way more money on nail polish than I would like to admit. I'm not entirely sure how it all happened, but there I was at the counter, and this super nice lady was telling me about the "buy 2, get a free hand lotion" deal. Next thing you know, we are walking out of the store, full bag in hand, and mum is giving me that "you're crazy but I love you" kinda look. Ok, so I felt a little guilty....until I got home and tried them on mum's nails (mine were already covered).

I couldn't be more thrilled about these new additions to my collection. Two of the shades that I chose are from the Nicki Minaj OPI Collection. Metallic 4 Life and Save Me. I'm a huge fan of the fabulously fierce Queen of Hip Hop, and I've been waiting for this collection to arrive for months now!

Pink Friday, Did It On 'Em, Fly, Metallic 4 Life, Save Me, Super Bass Shatter

I also purchased a few of the Nails Inc. Magnetic Polish. If you havn't already tried it, I suggest you do ASAP! Basically the polish contains little flecks of metal, and when a magnet is placed above the wet polish, it creates a really unique 3D effect. It's super easy and super fun!!
