Fall Trend ~ Bordeaux Lips & Nails

The dark lip is a major trend this fall. Deep reds and deep purples have been spotted on the red carpet and all over the runway. In the past, I've always associated dark lipstick with Goth but I was pleasantly surprised to find that you can achieve a very pretty and romantic look with a dark lip. The trick is keeping the rest of your makeup simple and your complexion very natural and glowing.

The dark nail has been a huge favorite. It's absolutely perfect for fall. I first introduced this color into my nail collection last year and I loved it so much I'm due for another bottle. For those of you who think black nails are too dark, the deep bordeaux and blood red hues are a great alternative.

Fall Trend ~ The Pointy Toe Pump

The pointy toe pump is a hot trend this season and I couldn't be any happier. I love a pointy toe, especially in classic black, but I'm also really thrilled about the many variations available in stores at the moment. Here's a list of my favorites.

The owl trend is with us for another season and I'm super thrilled. I've been seeing owls everywhere lately! Owl print tops and scarves, as well as owl pendants, rings and earrings. It's definitely my favorite graphic print at the moment. Like I mentioned in the previous post, I don't normally wear sweatshirts but this sequin owl top from Ricki's was just too pretty to pass up.

Fall Trend ~ The Graphic Sweater

I'm so thrilled about all of the super cute and charming graphic sweaters I've been seeing lately. I'm not usually a sweater/sweatshirt type of girl, mostly because casual isn't really my style BUT, these can be super chic and easily dressed up when paired with a pencil skirt and some heels.

The San Francisco nail color collection by OPI is perfect for the fall season. It has everything you need. Metallics, deep shades of purple and blue, blood red, chocolaty browns and textures. I'm especially thrilled about "A-Piers to Be Tan", "Incognito in Saussalito" and "Embarca-Dare Ya". Looking forward to adding a few of these to my collection.

Now that Mum is home from the cottage, I have my best friend back!! Which means the last couple of weeks have been spent catching up on some of the things we weren't able to do together this summer, like shopping, and long walks, and nights curled up on the couch sipping on wine. I'm definitely happy to have her home again!

The fall season is here and I couldn't be any happier. It's my favorite season when it comes to fashion. The colors, the layers and the scarves. . . I'm super excited. I'm a little concerned about my gigantic wishlist which is getting bigger by the day. There's just so much to be thrilled about at the moment. I fall in love with something new every day!

This dress instantly reminds me of the orange autumn leaves, which I will be seeing very soon :)

Lately I've been seeing zipper accents on everything! I'm really thrilled about this fall trend. It's the little details that really make me fall in love with an outfit. It might not be obvious here in the blog world, but I can be very reserved and shy at times. I actually prefer to be the one behind the camera rather than the one in front of it. Last summer I had a photo shoot with my niece Veronica as part of the "Other Side Of The Camera" series and I had so much fun I figured I would do it again.

You might have noticed the name Shenni on my blog lately. She's been my photographer for the last couple of months. Earlier this summer, she switched places with me and had her own little photo shoot.
