Hello everyone! There's only three days left until Christmas!! Things have been a little hectic these past couple of weeks but the tree is decorated and all of the gifts are wrapped. I'm ready to relax and enjoy the festivities! The holiday festivities began early this year, starting with a staff Christmas party, which I attended last weekend with Mum.
Originally, I had planned on purchasing a new outfit for this event but nothing really caught my attention so I decided to shop my closet and found items with the tag still attached. This is how you know that you have a shopping addiction. I had purchased this faux leather peplum top from H&M months ago and never had the opportunity to wear it because the cold weather and snow came much too soon. This black and gold bow belt (tag still attached) inspired me to do a black and gold themed outfit. I got a little creative and wore the peplum top over a dress with a feather bottom, added the belt to define my waist, a classic quilted bag, gold manicure, black and gold eye makeup and. . . voila! Sometimes all you need to do is remix items you already own to make it new again, or in this case, find items in your closet that have never been worn and mix it with the old.
What I'm wearing :: Peplum Top ~ H&M. Feather Skirt/Dress ~ Bootlegger.
Black Pumps ~ Shoe Mint. Black & Gold Bracelet ~ Smart Set.
Black Quilted Bag ~ Express.
One of my purchases since becoming an Avon Representative is this trench coat from mark.avon. I already have a few trench coats but not in black so I'm very thrilled about this new addition to my wardrobe. The unique design and quilted faux leather details instantly caught my attention. I was a little hesitant at first due to the mark.avon brand being suited more for juniors, but the size chart recommended going up a size, which I did, and the fit is perfect!
Unfortunately, the snow came much sooner than expected here in Northern Ontario, so I didn't get as much wear out of it as I hoped. I'm really looking forward to wearing it again come springtime.
This grid pattern sweater, which I picked up at Winners, is also a new addition to my wardrobe. Black and white is one of my favourite combinations and it's the perfect backdrop for adding a pop of colour.
What I'm wearing ::
Grid Sweater ~ from Winners
Black Skinny Jeans ~ Guess
Tall Boots ~ JustFab
Bag ~ Ricki's

Hello dear readers. I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend so far. I celebrated my 29th birthday this month and wanted to share with all of you my birthday outfit and some of my fabulous birthday gifts, along with some really exciting changes in my life.
First of all, you might have noticed in my previous post that I've changed my hairstyle, which was a birthday present to myself! I needed a change and felt that the timing couldn't be any more appropriate. New year, new do, new me.
Secondly, I'm really excited to announce to all of my Canadian readers that I recently became an Avon Representative and will be adding an Avon feature to my blog. Shop Avon with Chantal on Facebook or register online at Avon.ca, with me as your representative, and receive access to exclusive online deals! More info on this coming soon.
On to the outfit. This sweater is a new addition to my fall/winter wardrobe and it's definitely a new favourite. So far, it has proven to be very versatile. I've paired it with skirts, skinny jeans, dressed it up and dressed it down. I'm really looking forward to wearing this through the holidays. It will take me right into the spring as well. Really thrilled about this purchase. I usually stay clear of tops with beading or jewels due to the chances of it falling apart, but this sweater is really well made and so beautiful, I just couldn't pass it up. The skirt is also a new addition and will look great with black opaque tights during the colder months.
This stunning rose gold bow ring is a very generous birthday present from my Mum. I've been obsessed with it since I first saw it at the jewellery store, about six months ago.
This nude handbag is a gift from the boyfriend (which he gifted in black as well). I'm so spoiled. This quilted {Chanel inspired} handbag from Express is truly perfection. I'm really impressed with the quality. There's something so pretty and feminine about a small quilted handbag.
What I'm wearing ::
Jewelled Sweater ~ from Winners. Skirt ~ H&M.
Cap Toe Pumps ~ JC Penney. Quilted Handbag ~ Express.
Rose Gold Bow Ring ~ Peoples Jewellers.
Rose Gold Earrings ~ from Winners.
I will be giving away a 50$ Ricki's gift card to one of my lucky readers.

Hello dear readers! November is almost at an end which means the holidays are just around the corner! Soon there will be parties and holiday events to attend and, being the fashionista that I am, new outfits are required! So, when Ricki's contacted me about doing a collaboration and asked me to put together an outfit from their new collection, I was beyond thrilled!
While browsing the store I came upon this gorgeous statement necklace and instantly fell in love. Two things came to mind : frosted and winter wonderland. I was inspired! Proof that pastels are stunning in the winter as well. This necklace would also look great paired with a cozy fitted sweater.
I also fell in love with this metallic weave skirt. The hint of metallic shimmer makes it ideal for the holidays and is super versatile! It can also be worn with a black or red blouse during the holidays, or a white sweater and black opaque tights. Because of the length, this skirt is office appropriate and perfect for family gatherings as well. Really thrilled about this piece and cannot wait to mix and match with my winter wardrobe.
The lace inserts add a touch of elegance to this white blouse. So feminine and delicate.

Black Pumps ~ ShoeMint
Ring ~ Avon

This past weekend, Brandon and I went to Niagara Falls for a mini getaway. Although I've been there many times in the past, it was my first time experiencing the falls in autumn. The scenery is quite beautiful this time of year.
For a stroll in Queen Victoria Park, I kept it simple and comfortable with a trench coat, black skinny jeans and quilted flats.
As I've mentioned many times in previous posts, a classic trench is definitely a wardrobe staple. If you don't already own one, I highly recommend it. It is so versatile. This faux leather sleeve trench coat from Ricki's, which I purchased last year, is one of my favourites! I love how the faux leather and gold details add a bit of an edge to a classic coat.
I purchased this orange sweater a month ago, at the grand opening of H&M here in my city. This colour is perfect for the fall season. I really love the quilted faux leather detail on the shoulders.

Hello dear readers! For those of us here in the north, today marks the first day of fall. The leaves are beginning to change colour, the temperatures are dropping and the days are becoming shorter. As I mentioned in my previous post, fall is my favourite season, which means I've been eagerly awaiting and preparing for weeks! I've put away my summer wardrobe, reorganized and updated, and now I'm ready for cool temperatures, cozy layers and deep/warm hues.
A classic trench coat is definitely a wardrobe staple that every woman should have. This one has been with me through many seasons. To bring out the burgundy in this bouclé skirt, I wore a burgundy sweater and kept the rest of the outfit simple with neutrals. This oversized burgundy V-neck sweater, which belonged to my father, has been a fall wardrobe favourite for many years. It's warm and cozy yet thin enough to tuck into a skirt. It's surprising what you can find in a man's closet.
What I'm wearing :: Trench Coat ~ Suzy Shier.
Sweater ~ Arnold Palmer (borrowed from the boys).
Bouclé Skirt ~ Suzy Shier. Pumps ~ JustFab. Watch ~ Cleo.

This dress from the Temperance by Bootlegger 2013 Holiday Collection is by far one of my favourite dresses from my wardrobe. Anyone who knows me well knows that I get easily excited about fashion, but I was beyond thrilled when I first saw this dress. It was definitely love at first sight! If only it was appropriate to wear ostrich feathers at every occasion!
I wanted the feathers to be the main focus so I kept the rest of the outfit fairly simple. To bring out the subtle sparkles in the polka dot top, I added a sparkly belt and clutch, and sparkly shoes.
This blazer from Forever 21 has been a great wardrobe staple. The faux leather on the bottom half of the sleeve really helps in elevating a relatively plain black blazer.
