There's something so elegant and feminine about a lace dress. I've worn this dress on a few occasions and I love how versatile it is. It can be dressed up with a statement necklace or dressed down with simple accessories and a trench coat.
I was so thrilled when I spotted this dress. I really fell in love with the eyelash lace design.
I've had this pink leather jacket for years and while organizing my spring/summer wardrobe, I realized that it never made it onto the blog. This is one of my favourite jackets. It's blush pink and has ruffles! It's perfection! Unfortunately I don't get to wear it as often as I would like because it's been more of an in-between-seasons transition piece.
These "girlfriend" jeans are a recent purchase from H&M. They are super comfortable! You can't tell by these pictures but they are actually high wait jeans, which I love. Perfect for crop tops and half tucked tees.
I was so thrilled when I spotted this really pretty girl print top from Suzy Shier. Most days I feel that I've outgrown that store but every once in a while I spot something really great!

Vests are back this season in a very big way. Everywhere I look, whether in stores or online, I'm seeing sleeveless blazers, long waterfall vests, trench vests and maxi vest. It's going to be a hot trend this summer and I couldn't be more thrilled. It's a very versatile piece that can be worn over fitted dresses, pencil skirts, skinny jeans and shorts.
The long knit vest that I wore for this post was a huge fall/winter staple for me and although it has proven to be a great transitional piece for spring, I'm really looking forward to adding a few lightweight overpieces to my summer wardrobe.
Hello dear readers! It's been much too long since my last post! Spring is finally here and I'm so excited to be blogging again. What better way to start things off than partnering up with my favourite brand! The very nice people over at Ricki's sent me this gorgeous red textured blazer which is the perfect pop of colour for spring. Red is such a classic colour. It's great for any season and never goes out of style. As part of their How to Wear Red campaign, I was given the opportunity to work with Ricki's and style this blazer. Whether it's a handbag, necklace, top or blazer, I hope to inspire you to add a bit of red to your wardrobe this season.
In my experience, red looks best with neutrals. Two of my favourite pairings are red, white and black (worn here) and red, white and blue (worn here) and (here), but it also looks good paired with nude/tan or grey.
Although this blazer would look great with dress pants or a skirt, business attire and work apparel don't really fit my lifestyle because my job requires a uniform. Lucky for me, blazers also look great paired with jeans! One of my favourite things to do is dress up a pair of jeans and a plain tee with a blazer and a statement necklace. It's comfortable, relaxed and always looks well put together. It's casual chic and it has been one of my go-to looks for years.
I rarely wear my blazers buttoned up so the fact that there are no buttons really makes it ideal for me.
This plain white tee is a recent purchase from Ricki's and I highly recommend it.I love it so much, I left the store with all three colours! It might seem like an ordinary tee but it has this great little twist at the hem which instantly gives you that "half tuck" look without actually having to tuck it in. Effortless style.
From afar, this blazer appears to be just a plain red blazer but up close you can really see the details in the fabric. I love how the textured fabric and the zippered pockets add a bit of pizzazz.
Below is a "Colour of the Moment" video from Ricki's. Be sure to visit rickis.com for more inspiration on how to wear red.

The long knit vest is a big trend at the moment. It's a great transitional piece for fall. When it comes to choosing knits, I usually stay away from anything heavy to avoid adding bulk which is why I was so thrilled when I spotted this fuzzy mossy vest from Ricki's. It is absolute perfection. It's thin and flattering yet still warm and cozy. My only complaint is the lack of colour options. I definitely would have purchased more than one colour!
I really love mixing textures so I paired the vest with this gold sequin striped top from J. Crew. I love how the gold sequins add a bit of interest to an otherwise plain striped top. It was on my wishlist about a month ago and I was so thrilled when Brandon surprised me with it during my last visit in Michigan. :)
I purchased these faux suede boots about a year ago but they never made it onto the blog until now because unfortunately, the fall season doesn't last very long over here in Ontario. I've been trying to wear them as much as I can before the snow comes!
Brown Booties ~ Shoe Dazzle The week is almost over! I hope everyone has a great weekend. Thank you for reading.
Hello dear readers! It's hard to believe October is here already. Just a week ago, Brandon and I were in Las Vegas, trying to extend our summer just a few days longer. It was a great way to say farewell to summer and now it's time for cooler temperatures, blazers, heavy knits, warm layers and fall boots. Some of you have probably noticed that Ricki's is one of my favourite brands and I am really excited about their fall collection. Two of my favourite pieces at the moment are the coated denim moto jeans and the knit boyfriend blazer. You might find this hard to believe but, these are my very first jeans from Ricki's. I've tried many over the years and they just never seemed to fit me quite right so I gave up trying. That is, until I spotted the moto jeans and instantly fell in love. I just couldn't resist trying them on and I'm so glad I did! I must say, I am highly impressed with their jeans at the moment. Aside from the moto jeans, another favourite is the Ashley Barely Bootcut (recommended to me by the lovely ladies at Ricki's). They are so soft and comfortable, and the fit is very flattering. Must be that Power Stretch denim fabric! Two thumbs up for Ricki's!
What I love the most about these moto jeans is the fact that they are not fully coated. The coated inserts are just enough to give this look an edgy vibe.
I'm also really thrilled about this Chanel "boy bag" dupe from DAILYLOOK. I've been wanting this bag for months and I'm glad I waited it out because it is now on sale for $24.95
